Severe sepsis and septic shock

EQIC provides educational resources on protocol adherence for frontline staff to help hospitals improve outcomes related to severe sepsis and septic shock. Early recognition of risk factors and knowledge of signs and symptoms of sepsis and septic shock are essential for all caregivers.

The initiation of the sepsis bundle is central to reduce mortality from sepsis and sepsis shock. These resources support the initiation and implementation of an early identification program as part of sepsis quality improvement to spread and sustain success.
