EQIC is delighted to partner with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to provide EQIC hospitals with a rapid-cycle improvement program for CLABSI. We will be hosting an introductory webinar for all hospitals to understand more about the services the CDC can offer through the Targeted Assessment for Prevention program.
Across the board, hospitals are seeing an increase in CLABSI rates. One study looked at over 75 U.S. hospitals and found that since the onset of the pandemic, CLABSI rates were about 51% higher than they were in the 12 months right before the pandemic began.
This webinar will provide more in-depth details on the specifics of the CDC TAP program, and EQIC staff will outline additional technical assistance support available.
